چکیده

N-body simulations of dark matter halos show that the density is cusped near the center of the halo. The density profile behaves as r in the inner parts, where γ ≃ 1 for the NFW model and γ ≃ 1.5 for the Moore’s model, but in the outer parts, both models agree with each other in the asymptotic behavior of the density profile. The simulations also show the information about anisotropy parameter β(r) of velocity distribution. β ≈ 0 in the inner part and β ≈ 0.5 (radially anisotropic) in the outer part of the halo. We provide some distribution functions F (E,L) with the constant anisotropy parameter β for the two spherical models of dark matter halos: a new generalized NFW model and a generalized Moore model. There are two parameters α and ǫ for those two generalized models to determine the asymptotic behavior of the density profile. In this paper, we concentrate on the situation of β(r) = 1/2 from the viewpoint of the simulation.

Evolution of Clusters in Cold plus Hot Dark Matter Models

We use N-body simulations to study evolution of galaxy clusters over the redshift interval 0 z 0.5 in cosmological models with a mixture of cold and hot dark matter (CHDM). Four di erent techniques are utilized: the cluster-cluster correlation function, axial ratios and quadrupoles of the dark matter distribution in individual clusters, and virial properties. We nd that the correlation function...

Distribution Function in Center of Dark Matter Halo

N-body simulations of dark matter halos show that the density profiles of halos behave as ρ(r) ∝ r−α(r), where the density logarithmic slope α ≃ 1 ∼ 1.5 in the center and α ≃ 3 ∼ 4 in the outer parts of halos. However, some observations are not in agreement with simulations in the very central region of halos. The simulations also show that velocity dispersion anisotropy parameter β ≈ 0 in the ...

We propose that angular momentum transfer from the baryons to the Dark Matter (DM) during the early stages of galaxy formation can flatten the halo inner density profile and modify the halo dynamics. We compute the phase-space distribution function of DM halos, that corresponds to the density and anisotropy profiles obtained from N-body simulations in the concordance cosmology. We then describe...

Cosmic Strings in a Universe with Non-critical Matter Density

In the light of recent work which suggests that structure formation by cosmic strings in a critical matter density universe require large biases, we discuss the effects of reducing the matter density. Using a full linear Einstein-Boltzmann solver, we compute the cold dark matter density field and the microwave background anisotropies/polarization in a flat universe with a non-zero cosmological ...

Dark Matter in Dwarf Spheroidals I: Models

This paper introduces a new two-parameter family of dwarf spheroidal (dSph) galaxy models. The mass distribution has a Plummer profile and falls like R−4 in projection in agreement with the star-count data. The first free parameter controls the velocity anisotropy, the second controls the dark matter content. The dark matter distribution can be varied from one extreme of mass-follows-light thro...
